Some ideas need a language of their own. Custom Collections is dedicated to objects and material studies developed for a particular project, space or idea. The starting point may be a drawing, an architectural detail, a desired surface, an unusual scale or simply an atmosphere. From there, form and material are developed together. Ceramic, glaze, glass, texture and proportion are explored according to what the project requires rather than the boundaries of an existing collection.

Each commission begins with an idea and develops through drawing, material studies and prototypes. Form, scale, ceramic body, glass, glaze or surface treatment are considered according to the context in which the work will exist. The result is not a variation of an existing object, but a piece developed around the identity and requirements of the project.
